Bellows
The main part of an expansion joint ,which allows the movement and flexibility,is the bellow. The bellow requires not only to be very resistant to support the pressure of the fluids handled, but also flexible enough to absorb the present movements such as axial, lateral, angular, rotations and vibrations.
Inner Sleeve
Inner Sleeves are typically required for high flow rates, or where the transferred material is abrasive to protect the bellows.
Cover
Optional covers are typically required for areas where the bellows may be subject to impact damage.
Control Rods
Optional control rods will prevent over extension of the joint from unexpected pipe movement. They also prevent thrust loads from being transferred to the main anchors for the infrequent applications where the joints are not required to compress.
FEATURES
• Simplest, most economical design
• Accepts axial, lateral, movements
• Designed with a low lateral spring rate, and high movement capacities
• Versatile and common throughout all industries
